A new era

Over the past week a new website for social networking has been launched and it is called Pownce. This new site was created by a couple people in the Tech community including Kevin Rose of Digg. The theory of this website is that you can post messages not only to your friends that are also signed up with Pownce, but also to the public that people can see on your Pownce page. But not only can you do messages but you can also post links, files, and schedule an event that you friends or the public can see either with a stand alone application that you have on your desktop or by going to the Pownce website and signing in. The service is invite only at this point, but if you would like an invite I have about 5 left so e-mail me ASAP. The whole thing is a great in theory and seems really smooth even though it is currently in the Alpha stage. To me it is like Jaiku taken to the next level. I think that if Pownce allows you to put RSS feeds into it like you can do in Jaiku, they would kill. Another little side not is that I have been playing with a lot of different blogging websites and I have picked my favorite out of all of them. The one that I like the most is Blogger. The reason that I picked them is because if you know what you are doing, you can customize your page like crazy. It allows you to add HTML code in it, RSS feeds, and best of all you can have people that have a Blogger account and people that don’t comment on your posts. No other Blogging website that I was using had all of these nice features all wrapped into one nice little package. If you want to see all the different ones that I was using you can just go to my Jaiku account and look at the left to see all of the ones that I have tried. So now if you want to see my official new blog click here. But don’t worry I will continue to post here as well as, but I can do the Blogger one faster and on the road, so that is why I wanted to have a second blog.
